Yes, you can make a vegan pizza base out of broccoli for your low-carb pizza! Somewhat unusual, but great in taste, uncomplicated and quick to prepare. Covered with your favorite ingredients, you can turn the broccoli pizza base into a delicious favorite dish full of good ingredients, but gluten-free, low-carb, paleo and naturally vegan!
Grind flax seeds in a food processor. (takes about 2-3 minutes).
Cut off the hard pieces from the broccoli stalk and cut the rest into chunks. Add the broccoli pieces to the ground flax seeds in the food processor. Perhaps you'll have to stop one or two times to push down the pieces that have not been processed yet (takes in total about 1 minute). Alternatively use a grater to grate the broccoli.
Mix the grated/shredded broccoli, ground flax seeds, chickpea flour and salt with your hands. Now form a pizza base with it on a baking sheet set on a baking tray. Then bake for 15 Minutes. In the mean time, cut the bell pepper into strips, the smoked tofu into cubes and the cherry tomatoes into slices.
Take the broccoli pizza base out of the oven. Evenly spread the tomato sauce onto the pizza base and then place the pizza toppings. Bake for an other 10-15 minutes.
Serve topped with some arugula (sprouts) and nutritional yeast and drizzle some cold pressed olive oil on top for taste
Notes
Use any topping you like and optionally use store bought vegan cheese or a homemade pizza cashew cheese.
