In the middle of the pumpkin season, I introduce you to a recipe for making your own Pumpkin Spice Latte. The drink is becoming increasingly popular with pumpkin gaining more and more followers in Europe. My recipe has a quick, easy version and gives you lots of ideas and tips on how to change and vary the taste of your Pumpkin Spice Latte.
When making this easy vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte, you can use sustainable lupine coffee or a grain coffee instead of decaffeinated coffee. Whether you take oat or almond milk is also up to you. All entirely to your wishes and additionally without a disposable cup that has to be recycled again.
The fast and easy version
I got a great spice mixture with pumpkin powder from Ehrenwort-Genussmomente, which I used as the basis for my Pumpkin Spice Latte. The refined version
After having mastered the fast and easy version, I can start to refine your Pumpkin Spice Latte. I have some ideas for you on how to make it even tastier and very individual.
In the past, pumpkin puree was used for the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Having said that, you can replace the spice mix with your pumpkin puree or add some pumpkin puree to the Pumpkin spice mix to intensify the typical pumpkin taste.
Usually, you use pumpkin puree for the Pumpkin Spice Latte. You can replace the spice mixture with it or use it together with the pumpkin puree so that the sweet pumpkin taste becomes even more intense.
Are you one with a sweet tooth? Just add a little maple syrup or coconut blossom sugar. Your Pumpkin Spice Latte tastes sweeter and now gets a lovely caramel note.
Fans of chic drinks, add natural whipped cream before serving – what an appearance!

Easy Vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte
Ingredients
- 2 tsp Pumpkin Spice for example from Ehrenwort Genussmomente
- 1 dl coffee / spelt coffee
- 4 dl vegan milk (I prefer 2 dl almond and 2 dl oat drink)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Optional
- 2 tsp maple syrup
Instructions
- Heat all ingredients in a pan (about 5 minutes).
- Mix the contents of the pan well in a shaker or a stand mixer. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
The Pumpkin Latte will keep for 2 days in a screw-top jar in the refrigerator. Before drinking, you can simply warm it up to the desired temperature, stir well and enjoy!
A very long time if you don’t cut them. At least 2 months, butternut even for half a year! You can simply leave it in the kitchen. Once you’ve cut it, the pieces need to be in the refrigerator, where they’ll keep for 2 to 3 days. It’s best to cut it into cubes, which takes up less space.
Yes, they make a very good stash in the freezer. It’s best to pre-cook pieces or puree them before freezing, which is ideal for soups.
