Vegan Iced Turmeric Latte

Turmeric Latte is extremely popular and healthy in cold and gloomy times of the year. As a vegan iced Turmeric Latte, it is the perfect refreshment for hot summer days. With many chai spices and sweetened with dates, the summer version tastes more than tasty and refreshing. It is simply a drink that tastes, yes exactly, after a relaxing time-out.

A refreshing time-lout in your glass, full of taste and healthy spices.

As beautiful, as healthy

A Turmeric Latte is said to have healing properties. The bright sun-yellow color and the fine, oriental taste alone already have a positive effect on me! I lean back in my deck chair and enjoy my tasty, ice-cold summer drink. My iced Turmeric Latte – sweetened with dates – doesn’t contain any refined sugar. Additionally, you can adjust the sweetness to your own taste by using less or a little more of dates.

Iced Turmeric Latte is also known as “Golden Milk” and its one of the trendy drinks that has its origin in Ayurveda. The many great spices are good for the whole body. Turmeric, for example, is known as superfood. Its positive effects are so many that entire books have been written about the Turmeric root. Incidentally, the absorption of the active ingredient curcumin is increased greatly by the piperine in black pepper. Just remember to add some black pepper when preparing your Turmeric Latte.

Just in case

For cooler temperatures, I suggest you also try my vegan Spiced Chai Latte, which equally contains many healthy spices.

What is Golden Milk?

Golden Milk is a highly popular drink from Ayurvedic cuisine. One of the basic ingredients is turmeric. Golden Milk not only tastes good, it also has numerous positive properties. It has a detoxifying effect, strengthens the liver, kidneys and the immune system and stimulates digestion.

What is Cardamon?

Cardamom belongs to the ginger family and is one of the most expensive spices. The fruit capsules are harvested before they burst; the seeds inside the capsule are the actual spice. They contain an essential oil, the aroma of which is retained by the capsule shell. Cardamom tastes spicy and sweet and has a slight, eucalyptus-like sharpness. Cardamom grows in Sri Lanka and southern India.

How long does turmeric paste keep?

When sealed airtight, you can store the turmeric paste in the refrigerator for a few months. It’s best to fill them in small jars because you have to use them up quickly after opening.
